Knowing this, institutions that ignore people and still act with a traditional approach will have a much harder time. As Madosan Shelf Systems, we continue to take important steps towards technology with the slogan of “Becoming a Professional Family”. We started looking for a platform where we can monitor every stage from anywhere via the internet, talk to our dyehouse investment and monitor other stages of production. As a result of our research; we preferred İletişim Yazılım as our solution provider due to its long-term experience, vision, competent and professional staff.
What are our primary expectations from MES software?
MES (ManufacturingExecutiveSystems) should differentiate itself from piecemeal software or ERP systems used in different units of production in businesses by providing simultaneous and standard traceability. As is known in Turkey and the world, MES plays a key role in areas where ERP systems cannot exceed standards and cannot exhibit the necessary flexibility according to the dynamism of production and sectoral needs. At this point, it is a great advantage for an MES software to allow fast data collection from the field with user-friendly screen designs but also in a way that limits erroneous data entry. In addition, with flexible reporting opportunities, all authorized personnel can access the same information from the same point, making decision-making processes faster, higher quality and impersonal.
When we conducted research on companies implementing MES applications, attended various events where we listened to their success stories, and had face-to-face meetings with user companies, we saw that such systems have vital benefits for a business, such as reducing data entry times and data loss, instantly displaying production performance, and allowing instant interventions to prevent loss of efficiency. Our expectations are to implement all of these benefits and more.
Why did we choose İletişim Yazılım?
Among the companies we interviewed, İletişim Yazılım stood out as a software company with a corporate approach, with its 25-year history, its reputation in the sector and its exemplary experiences in different sectors. İletişim Yazılım gave us confidence that the project could be managed healthily from beginning to end, as its staff consisted mostly of industrial engineers with different perspectives and analytical thinking. In terms of products, we thought that a structure that could show flexibility to different sectors through a single product could also meet our needs.
The fact that the CoralReef reporting tool currently contains over 200 reports and that we could develop our own reports in particular was a major factor in our choice of İletişim Yazılım.
In addition, the fact that CoralReef offered us detailed modules at points where ERP programs lost their flexibility, such as operational quality and mold management, planning and monitoring of maintenance processes, made the software attractive to us.
What are we aiming for with the CoralReef MES system?
With the CoralReef system, we have determined the modules that we want to manage in the field at the first stage. We will ensure that modules such as machine planning, entry-process-final quality control processes, material flow in production, management of unplanned failures and planned maintenance, time and quantity-based tracking of molds, and scale automation work in an integrated manner with our ERP system.
In this way, we will transfer the basic cost elements in the field, machine-labor times, resource consumptions such as materials, to the ERP cost module that we currently use actively, on a work order and cost center basis, thanks to the CoralReefERP integration. We anticipate that the simple and clear information flow to our cost system will create a reliable basis for us to make more competitive decisions.
As the next step of our project, we aim to obtain production and process parameters from machines online and directly in the SFC (Production Data Collection) section with CoralReef. We will make the production data collection process independent of the personnel's declaration and manage our resources and capacity, OEE values to higher levels based on an error-free data archive.
To what extent did the İletişim Yazılım meet our needs?

Madosan Shelving Systems will not limit the digital transformation process to the production management area. We will also transfer many different processes other than production such as document management, quality standards management, project management, CRM, workflow and meeting management, suggestion and survey management to a digital platform. In this context, we aim to include İletişim Yazılım's ManageMind BPM solution in our business by the end of this year.
