As Volo Kompozit, we carry out project-based work in the defense and aviation sector. We continue our various projects in this regard by adding digital transformation to our expertise in running our business. Finally, we continue to accelerate with the MES solution that every manufacturing business should have.
What is your aim in carrying out the MES and MRP project?
MES (Üretim Yürütme Sistemleri) ve MRP (Malzeme İhtiyaç Planlama) sistemlerinin genel beklentiler içerisinde; Siparişten sevkiyata kadar bilgi ve malzeme çıktısı sistemsel olarak yönetilebilmek ve üretim sahanıza inmeden ürünlerinizin nerede olduğu, siparişlerinizin hangi aşamada takip edildiği yer yer almaktadır. Bunların yanında korunabilecek veriler ile performans, izlenebilirlik, kalite yönetimi vb. konuların değerlendirilmesi ve bunların uygulanması daha sağlıklı olarak, anlık ve gerçek veriler ile birlikte mevcuttur.
Bizler Volo Kompozit olarak dijital anlamda üretim yönetimi konusunda çeşitli çözümler kullanmaktaydı. Bu çözümün yetersiz kaldığı yerlerde noktaları belirleyerek farklı arayışlara girdiğimiz dönemler oldu. MES ve MRP çözüm arayışımız da bu şekilde gerçekleşti.
Üretim sahanızla konuştuğunuz bir yazılım kullanırken bu yazılımın çalıştırılması, yazılım geliştirme ekibinin desteği, üretime karşı profesyonel bakış açısının olması kritik hale geliyor. Bizi eski çözümümüzden ayrılmaya ve daha profesyonel bir çözüm üretmeye devam eden konuların başında bu geliyor.
Aldığımız olaylarla böyle bir çözüm araştırması ve projemizi başlatmak için harekete geçti. Araştırmalarımız sırasında CoralReef ile karşılaşıp bu çözüm ile yola devam etmeye karar verdik.
What issues did you take into consideration in the solution you chose?
While aiming to control our entire production network with such a system, we decided that we should continue on our way with a company that is an expert in this field and a software that has proven itself.
Since we, as Volo Kompozit, do a very special and niche job, we went for a solution that can be modeled according to our way of doing business and has a staff that will advise us on this issue.
In this context, when we examined the CoralReef solution, we found that many issues that are critical for us are already within its own structure. We had the opportunity to examine in depth that it is a product that can meet our expectations in terms of planning, production management, stock management, maintenance management without experiencing the problems in our current structure.
In addition, thanks to CoralReef's own flexible structure, we found that it can be modeled according to our business without requiring much development. This will speed up the process of commissioning the project and allow the current structure to guide us.
In addition, İletişim Yazılım's 25 years of production experience and the fact that it offers solutions with CoralReef to many manufacturing businesses was an advantage for us. Thanks to our expert staff and project management methodology, we had the opportunity to carry out the work we wanted by minimizing the risks in the project.
What do you aim to achieve with CoralReef when your project is completed?
We aim to use the CoralReef solution in all our fields. We will position CoralReef for all areas where ERP systems are lacking and for instant data to be collected from the production field. We plan to manage the entire process with CoralReef from the arrival of the order to the shipment of our products.
While these studies are taking place, one of our main goals is to create warning points and have the opportunity to intervene instantly against possible negative situations. Thanks to CoralReef's infrastructure, we plan to receive warning e-mails and SMS regarding any situation we want.
Finally, with the reporting structure, we will be able to control our production processes without being in our business. While CoralReef guides us with the report structure it brings, we will also be able to transfer our own business-specific and own experience-designed reports to CoralReef. In this way, we will be able to access all the data affecting our production and make the right decisions on improvement points. As a result, we will have the opportunity to provide better quality service to our customers. The continuous improvement approach will continue with CoralReef as a part of Volo Kompozit from now on.
How will you proceed in your future work?
After we put our MES solution into operation, we will continue to distribute our other components to the digital platform with İletişim Yazılım. Since İletişim Yazılım also acts as an R&D Center, it continues to access various R&D projects so that we can gain added value together.
Apart from this, there will be different productions. We will continue to convey the successful works, expert staff and the most accurate solutions in the Volo Composite sector.
